Day 1: Fes – Ifrane – Midelt – Merzouga (Sahara Desert)

The journey begins in the morning with a pick-up from your riad in Fes by our professional driver. Leaving the historic city behind, you’ll cross the mountainous landscapes of the Middle Atlas, with its quaint Berber villages, cedar forests, and breathtaking views. Your first stop is Ifrane, nicknamed the “Little Switzerland of Morocco.” This city is famous for its European-style houses, manicured gardens, and orderly streets, offering a pleasant contrast to traditional Moroccan cities. Continuing on to Midelt, nestled between two mountain ranges, you’ll admire the apple orchards and surrounding mountains.

In the afternoon, we enter the Sahara desert region to Merzouga, on the edge of the immense Erg Chebbi dunes. Here, an exciting camel ride awaits you at sunset over the golden dunes. A magical experience that will allow you to watch the sun set over the endless desert. The day concludes with a traditional Berber dinner at a desert camp or a nearby hotel, under a breathtaking starry sky, followed by an overnight stay.

Day 2: Merzouga – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley

After breakfast, the day begins with a unique cultural experience in the village of Khamlia, known for its Gnawa music. Here, you’ll listen to traditional instruments and discover the local customs of the Saharan community. Next, the journey continues to the Todra Gorges, one of Morocco’s most spectacular canyons. Its rock walls, hundreds of meters high, create an impressive landscape and provide perfect backdrops for photography. After a stop to admire the view, the tour continues to the Dades Valley, famous for its lush palm groves, ancient kasbahs, and evocative landscapes known as the “Dadi Roses.” Here, you’ll have the opportunity to explore local villages and experience the traditional atmosphere of southern Morocco. Overnight stay at a hotel or riad in the valley.

Day 3: Dades Valley – Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech

The third day begins with a departure for Ouarzazate, famous for its film studios, where numerous international films have been shot. From there, the tour continues to Ait Ben Haddou, the ancient fortified village, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, built entirely of red clay. Strolling through its narrow streets and towers, you can admire the traditional architecture of southern Morocco and take spectacular photographs. In the afternoon, you’ll cross the Tizi n’Tichka pass in the High Atlas Mountains, offering incredible views of the valleys below, before reaching Marrakech in the evening. The tour ends with a transfer to your riad or hotel in Marrakech, with the opportunity to briefly explore the vibrant red city.
